What to Check When Registering MY Panel – Personal Data Processing Consignment

Learn about the personal data processing consignment requirements that are essential for registering panels in Dataspace.

Updated this week

In Dataspace, users can register their own customers or employees as panelists to send surveys or analyze data.

However, to use the MY Panel feature, it is mandatory to register Opensurvey Inc. in your company's list of personal data processing consignees in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

Please make sure to follow the procedures outlined below to use the service safely.

Personal Data Consignment Procedure

1. Decision to adopt Dataspace

The MY Panel feature is only available with a paid plan subscription. After subscribing, you can register your own customers or employees as MY Panel members and begin using them.

2. Prior notice regarding personal data consignment

After adopting the plan, you must notify existing customers and employees in advance of changes to your personal data consignee information, as shown in the image below.

  • Notify them of updates to your privacy policy via KakaoTalk notification messages, email, etc.

  • The notification must clearly state that 'the customer's personal data is being entrusted to Opensurvey Inc.'

3. Signing a consignment agreement with Opensurvey

When registering MY Panel, respondent information is stored in Opensurvey's system, so a consignment agreement must be signed.

This can be completed conveniently via electronic signature with guidance from your Dataspace account manager.

4. Registering the consignee and updating documents

Finally, personal data processing consignee information must be reflected in your company's privacy policy and website in advance.

Specifically, you must state in all of the following locations that your customers' or employees' personal data is being entrusted to 'Opensurvey Inc.' and that the purpose of consignment is 'sending surveys to customers and managing customer experience.'

  • Your company's privacy policy document

  • Your company's personal data processing consignment status on your website
