Understand what a Space is in Dataspace, and learn how to create, add, and delete one.

What Is a Space?

A Space is a workspace within Dataspace for managing projects and data. In each Space, you can independently carry out tasks such as survey creation, data analysis, and panel management.

📌 Before Creating or Adding a Space — Please Check the Following

Any account can create a new Space. However, each account can own only one Free Space.

If you already have a Free Space, any additional Spaces you create must be on the Professional or Enterprise plan.

How to Create a New Space

1️⃣ Sign up for Dataspace and log in.

step 1. If you are not yet a Dataspace member, sign up on the Sign Up page.

step 2. After signing up, log in on the Login page.

2️⃣ Create your Space.

step 1. When you access Dataspace after registering as a new Opensurvey member, the onboarding page will appear.

step 2. Enter the Space name, company, department, and other information, then click [Start Dataspace] to create a new Free plan Space.

💡 Usage tip | The information entered on the onboarding page is used to provide personalized services, such as survey recommendations tailored to your industry and role.


How to Add a Space

1️⃣ Check your Spaces.

step 1. Click the Space name in the upper-left corner of the Dataspace home screen.

step 2. The "My Spaces" panel will appear, showing all the Spaces you belong to.

2️⃣ Add a Space.

Since each account can own only one Free Space, if you already have one, any additional Spaces must be on the Professional or Enterprise plan.

step 1. In the "My Spaces" panel, click the [+] button.

step 2. On the plan introduction page, click [Get Started] under the Professional plan, or click [Contact Us] under the Enterprise plan.

3️⃣ Subscribe to a plan.

step 1. Review the following options and select what suits your needs.

✅ Billing cycle — Choose between annual or monthly billing. Only card payments are accepted.

✅ Seats — If you plan to use Dataspace with teammates, you can purchase additional seats based on the number of users. Select the number of people you want to collaborate with.

💡 Usage tip | The Free plan does not allow additional seat purchases. The Professional plan supports 1–100 seats.

✅ Credits — A default amount of credits is included with the Professional plan subscription. If you need more, click [+ Purchase Additional Credits].

step 2. Review the payment amount and notes, then click [Next].

step 3. When the payment screen appears, enter your card information and click [Pay].

step 4. Once payment is complete, an invoice will be sent to your email and the Space for the selected plan will be created immediately.

💡 Usage tip | Your subscription will automatically renew based on the billing cycle you selected (annual or monthly). You can cancel the next subscription renewal at any time.

FAQ

Q. When and why would I use multiple Spaces?

A. Multiple Spaces are useful when teams or purposes within the same company require separate data management.

For example, if the HR team's survey results for employee experience management need to be kept inaccessible to other departments, you can create a dedicated Space for the HR team to operate data securely.

How to Delete or Leave a Space

📌 Before Deleting a Space — Please Check the Following

  • Deleting a Space is irreversible and all data will be lost. Please proceed with caution.

  • Only members with Admin permission can delete a Space, and deletion is only possible when both the number of registered MY Panel members and the number of Space members are 0.

1️⃣ Navigate to the Space you want to delete or leave.

step 1. Click the Space name in the upper-left corner of the Dataspace home screen.

step 2. The "My Spaces" panel will appear. Click the Space you want to delete or leave.

2️⃣ Delete or leave the Space from Settings.

step 1. Go to [Settings > Space].

step 2. Click Delete Space or Leave Space.

FAQ

Q. The "Delete Dataspace" button is not visible.

A. The [Delete Dataspace] button is only visible to members with Admin permission. Please check your permission level at [Settings > Members].

Q. I can't delete the Space.

A. Space deletion is only possible when there are no members and no registered custom panels (MY Panel).

Please complete the following steps first:

  • To check and remove members: Go to [Settings > Members] to view the registered member count. If there are members, click the additional actions button (⋮) on the right and select "Remove."

  • To check and delete panels: Go to MY Panel, select all registered panels, and delete them.
