Dataspace is a research & experience management platform that lets you safely collect and use data without worrying about security. You can configure access levels per project, require members to meet a certain standard of personal security settings such as two-factor authentication login and auto-logout settings, and restrict the IP addresses used to connect. Additionally, data that constitutes personal information is automatically destroyed after a set period of time. Data containing personal information is hidden by default, and only those with the appropriate permissions can download it in plain text.
The specific security features and technologies of Dataspace are outlined below.
1. Access Levels Can Be Set Per Project
Dataspace allows members of the same company or organization to collaborate in a single Space. Even within a Space, projects can be separately divided and managed by department or topic.
The features you can control in a project vary depending on the access level. Access levels are divided into 'Allow All,' 'Allow Editing,' and 'Allow Download.' This enables safer management of data on a per-project basis.
2. Data Management Features for Personal Data Protection
Dataspace provides data management features for personal data protection. Response data collected by selecting 'Personal information' as the question type when editing a survey is automatically destroyed by the system 300 days after the survey creation date. Additionally, only members with Privacy permission who can access personal information can view or download data containing personal information.
If a member does not have Privacy permission, personal information question results are hidden during results analysis, and personal information data is encrypted and not visible even if results data is downloaded. This allows you to safely collect and analyze data without the burden of compliance with personal information protection laws.
3. Accessible IP Restriction and Two-Factor Authentication Login Settings
Dataspace provides security features for users to use Dataspace in a safe environment.
Members with Security permission can use 'IP access control' to restrict Space members to only connecting from specific IPs, and can require members to align their personal security settings — 'two-factor authentication login' and 'auto-logout settings' — with the Space's security settings level. They can also view a summary of each member's personal security settings, and download access logs and permission change logs.
