Understand the basic concept of Space permissions and review what features are available for each permission.

What Are Space Permissions?

In Dataspace, you can assign different Space permissions to each member based on their role.

This allows you to control access to only the features each member needs, while keeping the Space secure and protecting personal information.

The member who first creates a Space is automatically granted all permissions. After that, you can selectively assign only the permissions each member needs — so some members may have all permissions, some may have only certain ones, and others may have none.

Available Features by Space Permission

📌 Even with Space permissions, features not included in your subscribed plan cannot be used.

1️⃣ Admin

The Admin permission is for managing the Space and member permissions. Only Admin can grant or change permissions for other members, and can also rename or delete the Space, subscribe to plans, and receive subscription-related notifications.

Subscribe to a plan from [Upgrade Plan].

Receive billing/subscription notifications

Receive billing and subscription notifications at the email registered during sign-up.

Space Management

Edit Space name

Edit the Space name at [Settings > Space].

Delete Space

Delete the Space at [Settings > Space].

Project Management

Create project

Click [+ Create Project] on the Projects screen to create a new project.

2️⃣ Team

The Team permission is for managing Dataspace members. Note that it does not allow changing other members' permissions — it covers inviting and removing members.

3️⃣ Security

The Security permission allows managing the Space's security settings and their history.

Click [Configure] under IP Access Control at [Settings > Security]. Enterprise plan only.

Auto logout setup

Click [Configure] under Auto Logout at [Settings > Security]. Enterprise plan only.

Member security status

Click [View] under Member Security Status at [Settings > Security] to check each member's 2FA and auto logout settings.

Download security logs

Download "Access Logs" or "Permission Change Logs" at [Settings > Security].

💡 Usage tip | Since security features are accessible only to members with Security permission, we recommend assigning this permission only to those responsible for security management.

4️⃣ Privacy

The Privacy permission allows managing personal information — including downloading or deleting personal data collected from surveys, and deleting registered MY Panel members.

Manually delete personal information

Delete personal information from "PI Collection Status" or "PI Upload Status" at [Survey > Delete Personal Information].

Delete MY Panel members

Delete registered panel members from MY Panel. Enterprise plan only.

5️⃣ Developer

Members with Developer permission can issue or re-issue authentication keys and HMAC keys required for Dataspace API and webhook integration.

6️⃣ Project

The Project permission allows creating projects in Dataspace to group data by topic or collaboration team.

The Workflow permission allows creating and managing workflows. Only members with this permission can create, edit, or delete Workflows.

FAQ

Q. Are Space permissions different from project access levels?

A. Yes, they are different concepts.

Space permissions are granted to control Space-wide settings such as managing Space members, security, personal information, and API/webhook configurations.

Project access levels, on the other hand, define the range of features a member can access within a specific project inside the Space. Available features vary depending on the access level assigned.
