📌 MY Panel is only available on the Enterprise plan.

What Are Profile Variables?

Profile variables are items that store unique attribute information for each panelist (respondent) registered in MY Panel. Beyond basic contact information like name and phone number, you can freely create custom attributes that your organization needs.

Profile information enables more precise targeting of survey respondents and can also be used to great effect in analyzing survey results.

For example, for a customer panel you might register attributes like purchase tier, year of enrollment, and region of residence, and for an employee panel you might register attributes like department, job title, and year of joining as profile variables to store values for each panelist.

Creating Profile Variables

Profile variables are managed at the Space level. Once created, they can be applied to all panelists within the Space.

1️⃣ Navigate to the Profile Management screen.

step 1. Select [MY Panel] from the left menu in Dataspace.

step 2. Click the [Profile management] button in the upper right of the screen.

2️⃣ Add a new profile variable.

step 1. On the Profile management screen, click the [+ Add profile variable] button.

step 2. Enter the name for the item to add. Variable names cannot be duplicates, and only Korean, English, numbers, underscores (_), and hyphens (-) can be used.

Additionally, since profile variables are used to set survey distribution conditions or to break down results, it is a good idea to write names that are easy to understand. (e.g., Region, Job title, Membership tier, Year of joining)

step 3. Enter the values to go under that item. Click the [+ Add value] button to continue adding the values you need.

For example, if the variable name is 'Region,' you would enter the choice items as values, like 'Seoul,' 'Gyeonggi,' 'Chungcheong,' and 'Gyeongsang.'

step 4. After entering all information, click the [Upload] button to create the profile variable.

step 4. Enter the new variable name and click [Done].
