📌 Only members with Team permission can invite and remove members. Invitations are only possible when you are on the Professional or Enterprise plan and have available invitation slots.
What Is a Member?
A member is a user who has been invited to Dataspace and uses it together with others. You can invite members to collaborate on projects, manage surveys, review data, and conduct analysis.
How to Invite Space Members
1️⃣ Go to Settings and click [Invite].
From the Dataspace home, go to [Settings > Members] and click the [Invite] button.
2️⃣ Enter the email address and assign permissions.
step 1. Enter the email address of the member you want to invite.
💡 Usage tip | You can invite up to the number shown in "Available invitations." You can also enter multiple email addresses at once.
step 2. Select the project to invite the member to and assign a project access level.
💡 Usage tip | If you're unsure which access level to assign, refer to the "What Are Project Access Levels?" article.
step 3. Assign Space permissions. You can grant any permissions except Admin to the invited member.
3️⃣ The invitation email will be sent.
Click [Complete Invitation] to send an invitation email to the entered address. Once the member accepts, they can immediately use the assigned Space permissions and project.
💡 Additional invitation features
From the "Pending Acceptance" screen, you can view members who have not yet accepted their invitation, and cancel invitations using the [Cancel] button.
How to Remove Space Members
1️⃣ Go to the Settings screen.
step 1. From the Dataspace home, go to [Settings > Members].
step 2. Click the additional actions (⋮) button next to the member you want to remove, then select [Remove].
2️⃣ Transfer the removed member's permissions.
step 1. Clicking [Remove] will show a permission transfer screen for the projects the member was participating in. Designate another member to take over the removed member's project permissions.
step 2. The member who receives the transferred permissions will have access to all the projects and data the removed member was involved in.
step 3. Once removal is complete, the member will be deleted from the [Member List], and the number of available invitation slots will increase accordingly.
FAQ
Q. How many members can I invite to a Space?
A. The number of available invitations refers to the number of additional members you can invite, excluding those already registered and those with pending invitations. You can check this at the top of the Members screen at any time.
To invite more members, you will need to purchase additional seats.
Q. I have Team permission, but I can't remove a specific member.
A. Even with Team permission, you cannot remove a member who has other permissions assigned. To remove the member, first revoke all permissions assigned to them. Once all permissions are removed, the Remove button will become active.
