📌 Creating a survey in multiple languages is available on the Enterprise plan
When do you need this?
🌏 When running international research in two or more countries at the same time
🌏 When the language shown to respondents differs from the language used to analyze results
🌏 When you need to collect responses for a survey where respondents' languages can't be determined in advance
Why is this useful?
👀 At a glance
Category | Before | Now |
Survey creation | Creating separate surveys for each country/language; every question addition, deletion, or logic change had to be made in each survey individually | (Reduced operational overhead) Make question additions, deletions, or logic changes just once |
Respondent participation | Distributing separate surveys by country/language | (Simplified distribution) Respondents choose their preferred language within a single survey |
Results aggregation | Manually gathering and combining results by country/language | (Faster aggregation) Results are automatically compiled into a single dataset, with a language filter to view results by language |
1. Add multiple languages to a single survey
If you create a separate survey for each language, adding or deleting a question means editing every single survey all over again. But with Dataspace, you can keep the questions and logic of the survey written in the standard language exactly as they are and simply add a language — translating using whichever method you prefer: AI Translation, direct input, or file import.
You can also decide how this language is shown to respondents based on your needs — send it with a fixed language set in advance, or let respondents choose it themselves.
2. Compare results directly on a single page
Analyzing surveys run in multiple languages at once is easier, too. No matter which language a respondent selects, their response is collected into a single dataset — so you can compare results directly without gathering them separately by country.
In the Analyze tab, you can switch between the standard language and other languages to check questions, choices, and results. The language filter still applies even when you share results via a shared link, so whoever views the results can check them right away in the language they want.
You'll find more details on how to add languages to a survey and check response results in the following article: Creating a Survey in Multiple Languages and Checking Response Results.
