Creating NPS Questions

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of how to create NPS questions and the key features available.

Updated yesterday

What is an NPS question?

A Net Promoter Score (NPS) question asks respondents to evaluate their likelihood to recommend a product or service on a scale from 0 to 10, with questions such as "How likely are you to recommend this product (or service) to those around you?"

🧙 Try using it in these cases:

  • When you want to quickly check overall satisfaction after using a service

  • When you want to understand loyalty or the likelihood of reuse for a product or service

Creating NPS Questions

1️⃣ Question

This is the area to enter the question content to be shown to respondents.

  • "How likely are you to recommend Service A to a friend or colleague?"

  • "Would you recommend Service A to a friend or colleague?"

You can adjust the font size or style using the formatting editor, and enhance the survey's readability by inserting links, tables, images, or videos.

2️⃣ Recommendation Score

'Recommendation Score' is the area where respondents evaluate the question with a score. NPS questions are set to 0–10 points, and the scale (score) cannot be changed.

💡 Usage tip | NPS generally classifies scores of 0–6 as Detractors, 7–8 as Passives, and 9–10 as Promoters. You can see at a glance how positively customers perceive your service based on these score intervals.

💡 These features are also available for NPS questions.

Various features can be accessed from the settings on the right of the NPS question.

  • Question display logic: You can set the question to be visible only to respondents who meet the set conditions. (Reference: Setting Question Display Logic)

  • Skip logic: You can set which question to move to after answering the question according to the conditions. (Reference: Setting Skip Logic)

  • Minimum display time: You can set the minimum number of seconds the question will be exposed on the respondent's screen. (Reference: Setting Minimum Display Time)

  • Required response: This option sets the question as mandatory, so the respondent must answer it to move to the next. (Reference: Changing Required Response Settings)
