Setting the Anonymize Responses Option

Learn about the Anonymize Responses option you can configure when creating a new collection group in the Dataspace Collection tab.

What is the Anonymize Responses option?

The Anonymize Responses option ensures that respondents remain anonymous when collecting survey responses. This feature is particularly useful for surveys on sensitive topics, such as employee feedback to improve corporate culture, where protecting respondent anonymity is essential. By default, this option is disabled, so you must enable it when creating a new collection group if required.

Can I identify respondents if the Anonymize Responses option is turned off?

If you send surveys to respondents registered in the dataspace as MY panel, you can identify them without directly asking for their identity in the survey. This is because personalized response links are generated for each respondent, allowing you to track who submitted the responses.

You can also view detailed sending information for each respondent in the Message history section, as shown below. Additionally, you can monitor response statuses and resend the survey to non-respondents if necessary.

What happens if the Anonymize Responses option is enabled?

If the Anonymize Responses option is enabled:

  • The response collection link will not be personalized, so it will be impossible to identify respondents.

  • The response tracking and resend features will be disabled, as shown below.

  • The survey results will not include any respondent-identifying information, such as panel IDs or UIDs.
