Updated over a week ago

What is the Allow Duplicate Responses option?

The Allow Duplicate Responses option lets you decide whether the same respondent can respond to the survey multiple times for each collection group you create. Configure this option appropriately based on the purpose of your survey.

How to Set Up Duplicate Response Allowance

You can enable or disable the Allow Duplicate Responses option in the advanced settings of the collection group. The default setting is disabled, meaning the same respondent can only respond once. If enabled, the same respondent can submit multiple responses.

Learn About the Criteria for Preventing Duplicate Responses

The criteria for preventing duplicate responses vary depending on the response collection method and settings.

① Collect responses through links

When collecting responses using a basic link or QR code, duplicate responses are determined based on browser cookies.

  • If you disable Allow Duplicate Responses, respondents can only respond once from the same device and browser.

  • When using a basic link with URL parameters, duplicate responses are determined based on the UID value.

② Send the survey from the space

When collecting responses via email, duplicates are determined based on the response submission history of each link.

  • If you disable Allow Duplicate Responses, respondents can only respond once using a single link.

  • If you enable Allow Duplicate Responses, respondents can submit multiple responses from the same device and browser, determined by browser cookie

📌 Important Notes!

  • Even if you prevent duplicate responses, respondents may still submit additional responses if they revisit the survey after 24 hours.

  • When relying on cookies to prevent duplicate responses, respondents may submit multiple responses if they use a different device or browser or delete their browser cookies.
