📌 The "Exclude previous respondents" setting is only available when collecting responses via email, SMS, or AlimTalk targeting My Panel registered in Dataspace.
What is "Exclude previous respondents"?
"Exclude previous respondents" is a feature that automatically removes panelists who have already participated in the same survey from the next send list. When the option is set to "Exclude," panelists who previously responded will not be able to participate in the survey again.
This is useful when you want to prevent the same person from responding multiple times. However, if the Anonymize responses option is turned on, it is not possible to determine who responded previously, so this feature cannot be used in that case.
Why use "Exclude previous respondents"?
1️⃣ Prevent duplicate responses
If the same person responds multiple times, the results can become skewed. Automatically excluding previous respondents ensures each person only responds once, enabling more accurate data collection.
2️⃣ Improve response quality
Sending a survey again to respondents who have already participated can cause survey fatigue. Reducing unnecessary resends lowers the burden on respondents and helps maintain trust in the survey.
3️⃣ Maintain a sample suited to your research objectives
When you want to capture new customer reactions or measure changes over a specific period, excluding previous respondents is beneficial. Select only the respondents that match your research objectives and obtain clearer results.
How to set up "Exclude previous respondents"
step 1. Create a new collection group via email, SMS, or AlimTalk sending.
step 2. Select whether to include or exclude "Previous respondents."
Include: Panelists who previously responded to this survey can participate again.
Exclude: Panelists who have already responded will be automatically excluded from the send list.
