📌 The AlimTalk sending feature is available on the Professional or Enterprise plan.
'AlimTalk Sending' After Kakao Business Channel Authentication
Dataspace's "AlimTalk sending" feature allows you to send surveys to My Panel members or external respondents' mobile numbers via KakaoTalk AlimTalk and collect their responses.
However, to use this feature, you must complete Kakao Business channel authentication in advance. Only accounts with completed authentication can use AlimTalk sending.
How to Apply for a Kakao Business Channel
1️⃣ Sign up for Kakao Business and log in.
To apply for a Kakao channel, you must sign up for Kakao Business. If you have not signed up yet, please do so at the link below.
2️⃣ Apply for a business channel.
✅ Don't have a Kakao channel?
You will need to create a new channel to use for AlimTalk sending.
step 1. On the KakaoTalk Channel page, click [Start KakaoTalk Channel +].
step 2. Refer to the Channel creation guide to create your Kakao channel.
✅ Already have an existing channel?
step 1. Access your existing channel's admin page and click [Management > Apply for Business Channel] from the left menu at the bottom.
step 2. Enter your business information and submit the required documents to apply for a business channel.
Business registration certificate or unique identification number certificate
Certificate of employment or representative's ID
Industry-specific licensing documents (e.g., mail-order business, health functional food sales, etc.)
For specific details, please refer to the Business Channel Application Guide provided by Kakao Business.
After applying, you can check the business channel review results via KakaoTalk notification or the admin page. Once channel authentication is complete, a "Business Channel" label will appear after the channel name, and an "Review Complete" mark will be displayed in the upper right.
How to Connect Your KakaoTalk Channel to Dataspace
1️⃣ Click KakaoTalk channel integration in Dataspace.
In the lower left of the Dataspace screen, click [Settings > KakaoTalk channel], then click [Connect KakaoTalk channel].
2️⃣ Enter the channel information.
On the KakaoTalk channel integration screen, enter the following information.
✅ KakaoTalk channel search ID
Enter the search ID registered during business channel authentication. You can find it at [Kakao Business Profile > Profile Settings > Channel Info > Search ID].
✅ Admin mobile number
Enter the admin mobile number registered in the business channel. Integration is possible even if it is not the super admin's number.
✅ Business category
Select the category most similar to your current business.
3️⃣ Proceed with the "Authentication request."
step 1. After entering the information, click the [Authentication request] button. An authentication code will be sent via KakaoTalk.
step 2. Enter the authentication code you received into Dataspace, then click the [Authentication request] button again. KakaoTalk channel integration is now complete.

KakaoTalk channel integration can fail due to various configuration factors. Please check the following items in order.
1️⃣ When the message "This KakaoTalk channel does not exist" appears
Please verify that the channel search ID you entered matches the actual channel information.
✅ How to check
Access the Kakao Channel Manager app.
Select the channel you want to integrate.
Check the search ID under [Management > Profile Info Settings].
✅ Notes when entering
You must enter only the ID portion of either the @ID or pf.kakao.com/_xxxx format.
Errors may occur if there are differences in spaces, uppercase/lowercase letters, or underscore (_) placement.
2️⃣ Is the channel already integrated with another service?
A KakaoTalk channel can only be integrated with one service at a time.
If it is already integrated with another program, please disconnect the existing integration and try again.
If errors persist after disconnecting, there may be a channel cache issue or account information mismatch. Please contact us via the Help Center icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
3️⃣ Did you enter the admin mobile number correctly?
If the admin mobile number entered during integration differs from the admin contact registered in the channel, an error may occur.
✅ How to check
Access the Kakao channel, then click the email in the upper right and go to [My Info].
Verify that the registered mobile number matches the number you entered.
If the numbers match but the error persists, re-register the mobile number in the PC version admin center and try integrating again. (Mobile number re-registration is only available in the PC version.)
4️⃣ Have you registered your customer service information?
Under KakaoTalk policy, customer service information must be registered in the channel before message sending features can be used.
✅ How to register
Access the Kakao Channel admin center (PC version).
Go to [Profile > Home tab card settings > Basic info].
Enter the customer service information and save.
After saving, try the integration again.
5️⃣ Is the channel set to 'Public' status?
If the channel is set to private, integration may not complete successfully.
✅ How to check
Access the Kakao Channel Manager app.
Under [Profile settings > Option settings], verify that the channel public status is set to ON.
6️⃣ Have you completed business channel authentication?
Regular channels may not integrate with some services and can appear as "Channel does not exist." Go to [Business Channel Conversion] in the admin center, register your business information, and complete authentication.
