In the Report tab, survey results are presented in an organized format suited to each variable type. You can review not only the question content and response results, but also Insight AI summaries and cross-tab data all in one place, making it easier to understand and interpret your data.
1️⃣ Question Content
The actual survey question presented to respondents is displayed here.
2️⃣ Insight AI
Insight AI is a feature based on Opensurvey's proprietary algorithm that identifies results with statistically significant differences based on the configured analysis criteria, and explains them in natural language form.
This allows users to quickly grasp the key results and characteristic patterns without having to compare data one by one.
3️⃣ Variable Type
The variable type of the question currently being analyzed is displayed here.
💡 Usage tip | For ranking-type questions, you can use the dropdown menu to select how many ranks to include in the analysis. For example, you can set it to reflect only 1st place, or reflect up to 1st–3rd place. The selected setting is automatically applied to the data area below.
4️⃣ Response Results
Response results are displayed according to the selected variable, and the response result data appears in cross-tab table or word cloud format depending on the variable type.
✅ Choice, Rating, and Numeric types
For choice, rating, and numeric question response results, the "interval estimation" method — one of the statistical difference testing methods — is applied. When you configure analysis criteria on the right, values with a statistically significant difference compared to the overall value are highlighted in color.
Values lower than the total: displayed in blue
Values higher than the total: displayed with a red tint
This data difference test is applied only when there are 30 or more responses, and is based on an 80% confidence level.
You can also change the sort order of the response results:
Value order: Sorts results in the original order of choices as presented in the survey design.
Response order: Sorts results in descending order of the most-selected choices. (Default setting)
💡 Usage tip |
Rating-type questions cannot be sorted by data. Instead, results are provided in the following order based on the rating scale: total responses, TOP2 (%), BOTTOM2 (%), Mean (pts), and Standard Deviation (pts).
TOP2 (%): The percentage of respondents who selected the top two rating values, indicating the level of positive evaluation.
BOTTOM2 (%): The percentage of respondents who selected the bottom two rating values, indicating the level of negative evaluation.
Mean (pts): The overall average score calculated based on all response values.
Standard Deviation (pts): A value indicating how spread out the response values are from the mean.
✅ Long text
For text variables, response results are visualized in word cloud format.
A word cloud is data that uses Opensurvey's proprietary algorithm to automatically extract and visualize words that appear frequently and commonly in responses.
Words mentioned more often in responses are displayed in a larger font.
The color of each word also varies according to the frequency of mentions.
5️⃣ Keywords
For the long text type, you can view the key keywords extracted from responses along with the frequency of mentions for each keyword.
Click the hide icon to the right of a keyword to hide that keyword. The word cloud is then regenerated and displayed with the keyword excluded.
