What Is the Responses Tab?
The Responses tab is a space where you can view and manage collected individual response data in detail.
Here, you can review each respondent's actual answers one by one, and perform 'data cleaning' — selecting and hiding insincere or incorrect responses. Through this process, you can prevent statistical results from being distorted, and lay the groundwork for conducting analysis based on more reliable data.
When Is the Responses Tab Needed?
✅ When you need to improve data reliability
"It seems like some people in the response data didn't read the questions carefully and answered casually. I want to exclude these insincere responses and use only clean data for analysis. How do I do this? 🧐"
🧙 Here's how you can use it
Check the Sincerity Score: You can quickly identify insincere respondents through the Sincerity Score calculated by Opensurvey's proprietary algorithm.
Data cleaning feature: You can exclude (hide) incorrect responses, offensive content, or logically inconsistent responses from analysis with just a few clicks.
✅ When you want to see the specific answer context of individual respondents
"Overall statistical results are important, but I'm curious about the flow of how a particular respondent answered each question. Can I look at each person's answers in detail? 🧐"
🧙 Here's how you can use it
View Response in Detail: Select a specific respondent to review all of their answers to the entire survey in detail on one page.
Load Variables: Add profile data or metadata to the table beyond the basic information to gain a multi-dimensional understanding of respondent characteristics.
Key Features and How to Use Them
1️⃣ Response settings and download: Optimize your work environment
This is the area where you can adjust the format of data displayed in the table and extract data to external files as needed.
Response settings bar: You can check the number of valid responses and hidden responses, and adjust display settings such as value label display, cell height, and column width to view data in a convenient format.
Data download and sharing: Download the current table as a CSV file with the variables as configured, for additional analysis or processing in external tools such as Excel. You can also send data to Salesforce via the 'Export' feature, or create a public link to easily share results with team members.
2️⃣ Response table: Review raw data
This is the area where you can view and compare data from all respondents who participated in the survey at a glance. You can inspect the data status by examining each respondent's answers in detail.
Check response status: You can immediately check whether a given response is a valid response or has been cleaned.
One-click cleaning: Based on Opensurvey's algorithm, this allows you to quickly organize a large volume of collected responses.
Load Variables: Clicking the 'Load Variables' button adds various variables to the table for a broader view of response data.
Response Quality Score: The Response Quality Score uses an algorithm developed in-house by Opensurvey to comprehensively assess — by analyzing both the intent of the question and the response content — answers that are clearly unrelated to the question, responses consisting of meaningless single characters or special symbols, content that is logically difficult to interpret, and cases where the question was not properly answered.
💡 Usage tip | The Response Quality Score can only be checked in surveys where the 'AI Response Quality Inspection' feature was enabled when creating the collection group.
Sincerity Score: Refer to the Sincerity Score calculated by Opensurvey's algorithm on a scale of 100 points to decide whether to include the response in analysis.
💡 Usage tip | In general, it is recommended to review the content of responses below 70 points before deciding whether to exclude them from analysis.
Check key identifiers: Use the unique response ID (rd_id) and response completion time to accurately distinguish and manage each piece of response data.
3️⃣ Cleaning and status bar: Refine data with precision
This is the area for excluding specific responses from analysis or managing collection progress against targets.
Data cleaning bar: Refine data transparently by entering the identifier and reason (insincere, offensive language, etc.) of responses to exclude.
View response status: Compare the target number of responses per collection group and the current number of valid responses in a table to manage survey collection status.
