What Is Slack Integration?
Slack integration is a feature that connects the messenger tool Slack with Dataspace and, by setting notification conditions through workflows, allows you to check customer feedback and major issues in real time.
Without having to go into Dataspace to check survey results directly, you can automatically receive notifications in Slack — which you use frequently at work — when responses are collected, when responses meeting specific conditions occur, or when key metrics change, all according to pre-configured workflows.
When Do You Need Slack Integration?
✅ When you want to immediately share key responses with your team every time they come in
"We run ongoing surveys targeting customers who are using our service for the first time. But since it's hard to know when responses will arrive, there are times we can't check important feedback in time. When a response is submitted, I want to review it immediately and share it quickly with the team. 🤔"
🧙 Here's how you can use it
You can configure a workflow so that only responses where the service satisfaction question answered 'dissatisfied' are automatically forwarded to a Slack channel.
With this setup, even without continuously monitoring the survey, you can immediately receive only the responses you must check and share them with your team right away. Use workflows to not miss important customer voices and respond more quickly.

🧙 Here's how you can use it
After connecting Slack, you can set reference values (thresholds) for key metrics such as customer satisfaction scores or NPS in workflows.
For example, if the average NPS score falls below a configured threshold, an automatic notification is sent to the Slack channel where relevant departments are active the moment that condition is met.
This allows you to immediately recognize potential customer dissatisfaction or metric change situations, and without separate confirmation or reporting processes, all team members can share the same information simultaneously for quick analysis, decision-making, and proactive response.
How to Connect Slack
Connecting Dataspace and Slack only needs to be done once per organization, and after that you can use workflows directly without any additional setup.
1️⃣ Click [Connect] for Slack in Settings.
step 1. Navigate to [Settings > Apps & Software].
step 2. Click the [Connect] button to the right of the Slack item.
💡 Usage tip | The [Connect] button only appears when no account has been connected to the Space yet. If another member has already connected an account, click [Manage connections] on the 'Apps & Software' screen, then select [Connect my account] to the right of the member list in the center.
2️⃣ Install the Dataspace app in Slack.
step 1. If you're already logged in to Slack, the Dataspace app installation screen appears immediately.
step 2. Confirm that 'Workspace' is set to your workspace, review the 'Review app permissions' content, and click [Allow].
🧙 Do you see the message 'This app is not approved by Slack'?
Dataspace is currently in the process of undergoing review for official registration in the Slack Marketplace. During this process, per Slack policy, the message 'This app is not approved by Slack' may appear when connecting.
Q. Is there any problem using the service?
A. No need to worry. This message simply means the app is from outside the marketplace and does not affect data security or feature usage at all.
Q. What should I do?
A. Dataspace is a service developed in compliance with internal security guidelines, so please proceed with the connection by confidently clicking [Allow]. Once official registration is complete, this message will automatically disappear.
step 3. When the connection is successfully completed, a message saying 'Connection complete' will appear.
💡 Usage tip | If you are not logged in to Slack, Slack login is required first.
💡 Usage tip | If you want to disconnect Dataspace integration, click [Disconnect organization] under [Settings > Apps & Software > Slack's 'Manage connections'].
Did Slack integration fail?
✅ If the account does not have Slack app installation permission
If your account doesn't have permission to install Slack apps, the 'Allow Slack access' screen may appear instead of the app installation screen. In this case, submit an access permission request and ask a Slack admin with app installation permission to approve it.
✅ Network connection issue
Slack integration may be restricted depending on company security policies or network environments. Check whether external service integration has been blocked by an internal firewall or security settings. If the problem persists, it is recommended to contact your internal IT administrator.
Connecting a Dataspace Account to Slack (Personal Account Connection)
1️⃣ Click [Manage connections] for Slack in Settings.
step 1. Navigate to [Settings > Apps & Software].
step 2. Click [Manage connections] to the right of Slack.
2️⃣ Connect your account.
step 1. In the 'Connected members' area, you can check accounts currently connected to Slack.
step 2. Click the [Connect my account] button.
step 3. If you're logged in to Slack, the Dataspace app installation screen appears immediately.
step 4. Confirm that the Workspace is set to 'Opensurvey,' review the 'Review app permissions' content, and click [Allow].
step 5. When the connection is successfully completed, a message saying 'Connection complete' will appear.

💡 Usage tip | If you want to disconnect your personal account integration, click [Disconnect my account] under [Settings > Apps & Software > Slack's 'Manage connections'].
