What is Google Forms Import?
Google Forms Import is a feature that lets you bring survey result files collected in Google Forms into Dataspace.
If you've previously run surveys using Google Forms, there's no need to create a new survey in Dataspace or re-collect responses. Simply upload the existing result file, and you can immediately review and analyze the results within Dataspace.
When to use Google Forms Import
1️⃣ To consolidate survey results from multiple sources
If you've already been running surveys through Google Forms, download the result files and import them into Dataspace. Survey data spread across multiple locations can be consolidated and managed systematically in one place.
2️⃣ To analyze existing Google Forms data immediately
No need to recreate your survey or collect new responses — just connect your Google account and select the data you want.
Once imported, you can immediately access insights using Dataspace's Text AI Analysis, cross-tabulation, and other features.
Use Insight Wiki to automatically generate an analysis report from your survey results by simply entering your research objective or questions.

4️⃣ Review the imported data carefully
Once the data review screen appears, you can pre-check whether the variables and values imported from Google Forms are displayed correctly. Be sure to review the data after importing to ensure accurate analysis.
Step 1. Review the variable card area to verify that the questions (variables) from Google Forms have been imported correctly. Adjust the horizontal scroll bar to review variables further to the right.
Step 2. In the variable card area, switch the value display format from "Value Label" to "Value" to see the actual stored values for each variable.
Step 3. In the area below, you can review the full response data for each respondent. Scroll vertically to view other respondents' data, and use the horizontal scroll bar to review variables further to the right.
💡 Tip: Use the view toggle button in the top right to switch between response-unit view and variable-unit view.
Response-unit view: Displays variable-wise response data as variable cards, allowing you to review each respondent's response status.
Variable-unit view: Displays a response table showing variable type, question, value, response count, and non-response count. Variable cards in bar chart format and the individual respondent response table are not shown.
Step 3. Once you've reviewed all data and everything looks correct, click [Next].
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why do variables with more than 1,000 responses not appear in the variable card area?
A. If the number of responses for imported data exceeds 1,000, result data will not be displayed in the variable card area. The response data table also shows a maximum of 1,000 responses.
Also, if the number of variables (questions) exceeds 100, both the variable card area and the response data table will display only the first 100 variables.
5️⃣ Enter the title and details
After reviewing the data, enter a title for the Google Forms data you're importing and specify which project the data should be added to.
Step 1. Enter your preferred title. By default, the title registered in Google Forms is automatically entered — edit it as needed.
Step 2. Once all settings are complete, click [Done]. After a brief "Please wait" message, the import success screen will appear.
