Creating and Editing a Dashboard

Updated this week

📌 The dashboard feature is available on all plans

Creating a Dashboard

1️⃣ Creating a dashboard from a template

Templates are provided to help you make the most of your dashboard for your purpose.

Click on the desired template on the dashboard screen to immediately create a dashboard, then switch to edit mode on the right and modify it according to the content you want.

2️⃣ Creating a dashboard from scratch

  1. Select [Dashboard] from the Dataspace menu and click [+ Create dashboard].

  2. An 'Untitled dashboard' is created. Click the [Add widget] button to select the widgets you want.

  3. Once a sample widget is added, click the pencil icon in the upper right of that widget to configure it.

  4. For configuration methods and usage examples per widget, please check the article link.

Editing a Dashboard

A dashboard can be used in view mode or edit mode. If you want to change the layout, size, or configured content of the dashboard, you can switch to edit mode to make modifications.

1️⃣ Changing position

Hovering over a widget changes the cursor shape to ✥. Click and drag to move the widget to the desired position.

2️⃣ Changing size

Hovering over the corner of a widget changes the cursor shape to ↕, ↔, etc. Click and drag to resize the widget to your desired dimensions.

3️⃣ Changing widget settings

Hovering over a widget reveals a 'pencil' icon in the upper right of the widget. Click this icon to change the configured settings.

💡 The dashboard has even more features available.

You can instantly share with Dataspace members or other stakeholders in your organization.

✅ Inviting Space members

Add members by setting permissions so they can collaboratively edit or view the dashboard.

  • Allow editing: Members can collaboratively edit the dashboard.

  • Allow viewing: Members cannot edit the dashboard, but can view the dashboard they were invited to.

  • Allow all: Both editing and viewing are possible, and dashboard permissions can be granted to other members.

✅ Inviting other stakeholders

A public link can be generated so that anyone can view the dashboard, regardless of whether they use Dataspace.
