When using Dataspace and OpenSurvey DIY services, you may see a warning window that says, “A network error has occurred.” Let’s learn about how to deal with and resolve this issue.
Temporary network error
Temporary network errors may occur due to various reasons, such as the user's PC Internet environment or Open Survey's cloud server.
You can use it safely again by pressing 'Refresh' on your browser or waiting a moment and trying again.
Or, reset the currently connected network and try again.
If the above steps do not resolve the network issue, it may be due to an error in your in-house security solution, such as a firewall.
Network errors caused by in-house security solutions such as firewalls
For corporate users, if you connect to the network through an internal network, the internal security solution, such as a firewall, may block OpenSurvey, making normal service use impossible. In this case, you may not be able to add images to questions in the survey editing tab, or a network error may occur while using the product.
Please check with your company's security department to see if OpenSurvey is blocked on your company network. If so, please remove the block or restriction.
If you are having trouble quickly resolving issues with your in-house network security solution, you can temporarily connect to a different network to use the product.
📌 What errors can occur due to internal network issues such as firewalls?
Various errors may occur due to internal network issues such as firewalls. Typical errors are as follows. If such issues occur, please take steps to lift network blocking and restrictions on Open Survey through your internal security department.
