What is a question?

A question is the most basic unit of a survey, and refers to a question that a survey respondent can answer or select.

Learn about the question features

① Add

After selecting an item that has already been created, you can click the [+] button to add a new item after the selected item.

  • Choice: A question where you choose an answer from several options given. Multiple choice questions have single response, multiple response, and ranked response options.

  • Open-ended: These are questions that allow you to answer directly to the question presented. Short-answer questions include short answer, essay, number, date, and multiple response options.

  • Personal Information: This is a question used to obtain consent for the collection and use of personal information when collecting personal information from respondents in a survey.

  • Rating scale: This is a question used when you want to ask how much you agree/disagree or agree with a given question. It provides response options on a scale of 3 to 10, and you can choose between horizontal and vertical formats.

  • Multiple rating scales: This is a question that can be used when you want to evaluate multiple items at once in one question. You can enter questions and options for each item.

  • Star rating: This can be used when you want to receive responses to an evaluation question in the form of a star rating on a 5-point scale.

  • NPS: This is a question that can be used when you want to receive responses to an evaluation question in the form of an 11-point NPS scale.

  • Multiple numbers: This question can be used when you want to receive a numerical response regarding the proportion of each item within a certain range.

  • Image: This question allows you to collect images. This can be used when you want to see the product or specific situation that the respondent actually uses.

② Change the order of questions

You can change the order of the questions by dragging and dropping the question cards on the left. You can also adjust the order within the same block or move questions to another block.

③ Copy

If you select a generated question and click the [Copy] button, the question will be copied and added after the questions.

④ Delete

Select the generated question and click the [Delete] button to delete the question. Deleted questions cannot be restored, so please check carefully before deleting.

⑤ Hide/unhide

If you select the question you want to hide and click the [Hide] button, the question will not be visible to respondents. This function is useful when you want to hide questions in a copied survey or when you do not want to show certain questions to respondents. If you click the [Unhide] button on a hidden question, the question will be visible again. In addition, you can hide or unhide the options for multiple-choice questions.

📌 Additional Information to Know

  • You can add a question by clicking the [+] button on the right side of the [Question] area. In this case, the new question will be created at the bottom of the question card area.

  • If you want to copy or delete all the items you created at once, please use the [Edit in Bulk] function.

  • You can create multiple outro pages that are shown to people who have completed their response. This is useful when you want to display different completion page messages based on logic or final response.
