What is a block?
A block is a unit that allows you to manage survey questions structurally by grouping them based on topics or objectives.
It is a feature used for editing and managing surveys and is not directly exposed to respondents.
Why should you use blocks?
1️⃣ You can organize surveys systematically
As a survey gets longer, managing questions can become difficult. Dividing questions into blocks allows you to understand the survey structure at a glance, making survey creation more systematic and easier.
2️⃣ You can design logic efficiently
Blocks are also useful when the same type of questions are repeated or when complex logic design is required.
Additionally, you can design a flexible survey flow, such as moving respondents to a specific block based on their conditions.
How to add a block
A survey requires at least one block and one question. When you first enter the 'Edit' screen, one block and one question are automatically created.
Step 1. You can add a block by clicking the [+] button to the right of a question and selecting [Block]. Alternatively, you can create a new block by selecting [Add block] from the More actions(⋮) menu to the right of 'New Block', or by clicking the [+ Block] button below the last question of an existing block.
Step 2. Enter the name of the block to add and click [Confirm].
💡 Tip | You can set block name changes, duplication, reordering, and deletion by clicking the (⋮) on the right side of the block.
Step 3. You can create a new question by clicking [Add question] at the bottom of the newly created block, or you can move an existing question to the new block by dragging and dropping it.
