What is the Back Button?

The Back button in a survey allows respondents to return to a previous question to review or change their answer.

Depending on the survey's purpose and structure, showing the Back button can help reduce respondent burden and aid understanding. However, in surveys where response order or first impressions matter, hiding the Back button may be more appropriate.

How to Hide the Back Button

1️⃣ Select the survey.

Step 1. Select the survey from your project.

2️⃣ Disable the Back button in the Settings panel.

Step 1. Click [Settings] on the left side of the editor.

Step 2. Toggle the Back button from 'Enabled' to 'Disabled'.

💡 Tip | By default, the Back button is shown when the toggle is enabled. Turning off the toggle hides the Back button. Check the before/after screenshots below to see the difference.
