📌 The Survey Review feature is available on Professional or Enterprise plans.
What is Survey Review?
Survey Review is a feature that automatically checks whether the survey you are currently creating is well-designed. It analyzes whether respondents might find the survey difficult or if there are factors that could lower response quality, and suggests directions for improvement on how to make it a better survey.
Based on an algorithm independently developed by Opensurvey, it objectively evaluates whether this survey is appropriate for collecting reliable data and looks at whether the survey is too long or complex from the respondent's perspective.
Why should you use Survey Review?
1️⃣ You can protect response quality in advance
If there are problems with the survey, respondents may answer carelessly or drop out in the middle. By using Survey Review, you can discover and correct factors that may lower response quality in advance, allowing you to obtain more reliable data.
2️⃣ You can check the survey from the respondent's perspective
When creating a survey, it is easy to lean only toward the creator's point of view. Because Survey Review checks the difficulty and burden from the respondent's criteria, it helps in creating a survey where respondents can participate sincerely until the end.
3️⃣ You can feel secure even if you don't have much survey experience
Since Survey Review diagnoses the survey from an expert's point of view and informs you of improvement points, anyone can ensure a survey quality above a certain level.
How to Conduct a Survey Review
Step 1. After completing the entire survey, click the [Survey Review] button at the top right.
Step 2. Once the automatic analysis is complete, you can check the survey review and items requiring review.
Survey Review Results
1️⃣ Survey Quality Review
This is a single index that comprehensively judges survey quality, visualized as a gauge chart along with a three-level grade of ‘Good–Fair–Poor’.
✅ Basic Information
The number of questions currently included in the survey and the estimated response time are provided together so you can check the appropriateness of the design.
✅ Estimated results if all items requiring review are resolved
If you enable this feature, the expected survey score and response time after all items requiring review are corrected will be provided, allowing you to predict the improvement effect in advance. Since you can quantitatively check the impact of survey corrections on response quality, it is useful for judging the necessity and priority of corrections for each item.
2️⃣ Needs Review
✅ Number of Issues
The number of issues discovered is displayed, and each issue is classified into the following four levels according to severity:
Critical: Items that can have a fatal impact on response quality
Major: Items requiring major improvement
Minor: Items with relatively low impact
Suggestion: Items that do not need to be corrected as they do not affect survey quality, but for which improvement is recommended
✅ Check Reason and Move to Question
Questions requiring review are guided along with the reason. By clicking the [V] button displayed on each item, you can check the corresponding question and recommendations, and move directly to that question via the arrow icon to edit it.
3️⃣ Passed
Items that have passed the review are separately categorized and displayed in a list, so you can easily check whether the review is complete.
💡 Survey Review also has these features.
By clicking the [Edit by Question] button at the bottom, you can move directly to the question where an issue was discovered. You can see at a glance what problem occurred in that question and in what direction it should be improved.
After editing the question, please click the refresh icon at the top right of the Survey Review screen. The review status will be updated to the latest version, and questions for which editing is complete will be automatically removed from the list.
