Creating a Survey with Dataspace AI

What is Dataspace AI?

Dataspace AI is here for you when starting a survey from scratch feels overwhelming, when you're unsure what questions to ask, or when designing the survey structure and logic feels difficult.

Simply enter your research objective, and Dataspace AI will automatically suggest a research plan and survey structure — supporting you through the entire process from start to a completed survey.

Creating a Survey with Dataspace AI

step 1. In the chat window on the Dataspace home screen, freely enter what you want to research.

(e.g.) "Design a survey for a user experience (UX) evaluation," "Design a consumer response survey before a new product launch"

💡 Tip: If you're not sure what to enter, click the [Survey Design] button to see examples.

step 2. After Dataspace AI analyzes your input, a screen will appear prompting you to select a project to save the survey to. Select the project you want.

step 3. If more information is needed to design the survey, Dataspace AI will ask follow-up questions. Once you answer them, a Research Planning Document, a Research Design Document, and a draft survey structure will appear.

  • Research Planning Document: A planning document that organizes the direction of your research before it begins. It clearly captures why the research is being conducted, what needs to be confirmed, how it will be carried out, and what outcomes are expected by when — establishing the overall criteria and goals for the research.

  • Research Design Document: An execution design document that specifies how the actual survey will be structured. It systematically outlines who the survey targets, how questions will be asked, and how the survey will be organized to capture the required information.

step 4. After reviewing the Research Planning Document and Research Design Document, ask Dataspace AI in the chat window to create the survey. The survey will be automatically completed and saved to your selected project.

💡 Tip: If there's anything in Dataspace AI's design that you'd like to add or modify, simply enter your request in the chat window. You'll immediately see a new survey design that reflects your changes.

💡 These features are also available:

  • Copy: Click the [Copy] icon to copy the generated survey in "text" or "markdown" format.

  • Download: Click the [Download] icon to save the survey as a PDF or markdown file.

  • View Details: Click [View Details] to go to the editing screen for that survey.
