📌 Find and replace is available on all plans.
What is Find and Replace?
Find and replace is a feature that helps you search for specific words or phrases at once during the survey editing process and correct them identically across multiple questions. You can apply it to the entire survey, or select only a specific block or question range, allowing you to organize expressions quickly and accurately without repetitive manual work.
Why should you use Find and Replace?
1️⃣ Maintain Consistency in Expressions and Prevent Errors
When identical expressions must be repeatedly modified across multiple questions—such as changing a brand name, unifying terminology, or correcting spelling—manual processing can lead to some questions being omitted or different expressions being mixed. By using Find and replace, you can apply the same criteria to all questions at once, increasing the accuracy and quality of the survey.
2️⃣ Improve Efficiency of Survey Editing Tasks
The process of finding and modifying multiple questions one by one takes a long time and imposes a heavy burden of repetitive tasks. Using this feature allows searching and modifying to occur simultaneously, significantly shortening editing time and making the survey review and quality control process much easier.
How to Find and Replace
step 1. Select the [Find and replace] button at the top of the Editor screen, or press Ctrl+F on your keyboard to run the feature.
step 2. Enter the word or phrase you want to find in the Find input field, and enter the new text to be applied in the Replace input field.
step 3. Select the range to apply Replace among the entire survey, a specific block, or a specific question.
💡 Usage tip | Since a specific block and a specific question cannot be selected simultaneously, please designate only one necessary range.
step 4. Click [Replace all] or [Replace] to complete the modification.
Replace all: Modify all at once
Replace: Modify while checking one by one
💡 Usage tip | When searching for English text, you can search more accurately by selecting the Case sensitive option.
💡 Usage tip | The number of results matching the entered text is displayed next to Replace all at the bottom of the window, and the screen automatically moves to the location of the first search result with the corresponding text highlighted.
💡 These features are also available in Find and Replace.
If formatting such as bold or color was applied to the original text, the same formatting will be automatically applied to the newly entered text when Replace is executed.
If you want to check in advance how the formatting will be applied to the changed text, please check the results through the Formatting preview feature before modifying.
