📌 Required response settings are available on all plans.
What is the Required Response Setting?
To ensure smooth response collection, questions are set to required by default. For required questions, respondents must answer before moving to the next question.
How to Change Required Response Settings
To set a specific question as optional, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Click the question you want to make optional.
Step 2. In the [Per-question Settings] panel on the right, disable the required response toggle for that question.
💡 Tip | You can check the required response status of each question by the star icon shown on the question card on the left.
🧙 Rating (multiple) and number sum questions can only be set as 'Required.'
Rating (multiple) and number sum questions are structured so that respondents enter a rating value or number for each item. If some items are left blank, interpreting the data becomes difficult and the accuracy of analysis results drops significantly. Because these question types are often used for quantitative analysis such as comparisons between items, calculating averages, and computing ratios, it is important that responses are fully collected for all items.
Due to this nature, these question types cannot be set as optional — they can only be configured as 'Required,' meaning all respondents must enter a value.
