Take a look at the Dataspace home screen

Let's take a look at the home screen layout that appears when you first access the Dataspace.

Updated this week

Configuring the Dataspace Home Screen

Create surveys, import files, and integrate Google Forms directly from the Dataspace home screen.

① Make it from scratch

This is the button to create a new survey. You can create a survey freely from scratch. Please check the article below for how to create it.

② Import File and Import Google Forms

You can import and review previously collected data or Google Forms results without creating a new survey in Dataspace. This feature is only available to members with project access levels of 'Allow full access' and 'Allow editing'.

  • Import File: This feature allows you to upload and analyze external data in CSV or Excel format. Clicking the button opens a new window where you can import data. Follow these steps: select the file → specify question types → label the data → confirm the data → input title and additional information.

  • Import Google Forms: This feature lets you analyze data collected through Google Forms by linking your Google Forms account to Dataspace. Clicking the button opens a new window for importing. Follow these steps: link your account and select the forms → verify the data → input title and additional information.

📌 Important Notes!

  • The Import File and Import Google Forms features are only available with a paid plan.

④ Recent work (existing users)

Existing users of Dataspace will see their most recent work items at the top of their home screen. The most recent workspace allows users to manage surveys and data they have previously created.

  • Title: The title of the survey or data created by the user is displayed. You can click on the title to go directly to the editing screen.

  • Status: If you haven't collected responses yet, the survey status will be Draft, and if you've started collecting responses, it will be Published. Clicking Draft will take you to the Edit tab, and clicking Published will take you to the Collection tab.

  • Response: The response collection status is displayed. You can tap on the number to jump directly to the metrics.

  • Project Title: The project name where the survey is located is confirmed. Selecting the project name will take you to the project.

  • Last Modified: The date this survey was last modified.

  • Created by: The person who created the data. Quickly see which surveys you created and which you have collaboration permissions for.

  • More: Clicking the More button provides various functions for managing the survey, such as changing the survey title, copying, and moving.

  • Edit Title: Change the name of the data.

  • Duplicate: Copy the selected data. In the case of a survey, the questions and options of the survey are copied when copied, and a copy is created directly in the data list. However, the copy button does not appear for merged surveys, Excel uploads, and Google Form data.

  • Move: Move data to another project you have already created. If the project access level is not 'Full Access', the Move button will be disabled.

  • Hide: Hides the data from members with access levels other than 'Allow All'. The Hide button will not appear if the project access level is not 'Allow All'.

  • Delete: Deletes data. Deleted data will be moved to the trash and permanently deleted after 90 days. The trash can can be accessed by clicking the trash can icon at the bottom left of the GNB. If the project access level is not full, the delete button will be disabled.

  • Open in new tab: The edit tab for that survey will open in a new tab.

📌 Important Notes!

  • The list of data on the Dataspace home screen will only appear if there are surveys that the user has created or data that they have permission to collaborate on. The list of data screens may not appear for newly invited users, even if the space is already in use.
