Setting Analysis Criteria

Learn how to set up "Analysis Criteria" — a feature that lets you divide survey response data by criteria such as gender and age to identify meaningful differences between groups.

Updated today

What Are Analysis Criteria?

"Analysis Criteria" is a feature in the Report tab of the Analytics screen that lets you divide collected data according to the criteria you want to examine.

Rather than stopping at viewing all responses at once, you can select criteria such as gender or age to split and compare the data. When you view data this way, it becomes much easier to spot differences like, "Responses from Group A and Group B are really different!"

When you change the analysis criteria, not only does the results table update — the Insight AI summary also updates along with it, letting you check the key information you want to know even more quickly.

How to Set Analysis Criteria

step 1. In the [Analysis Criteria] area on the right sidebar of the Report tab, click the [Add] button.

step 2. From the variable list that appears on screen, select the variable you want to use as the analysis criterion (column). Note that text or image variables cannot be set as analysis criteria.

💡 Usage tip | You can set up to 6 analysis criteria, and when downloading a PPT report, up to 12 columns are supported for table readability.

step 3. Click an added analysis criteria card to select only specific choices to display. In particular, activating the 'Only values with responses' toggle lets you exclude items with no respondents, creating a neatly organized table with only the data you need.

step 4. Once the settings are complete, the report data updates immediately. Check the Insight AI analysis text, which is also regenerated in real time to reflect the updated criteria.
