Setting the Navigation Path After Completing the Survey

Guide on how to set the screen the respondent will be moved to after completing the survey.

Updated today

When a survey response is completed, you can directly specify the screen the respondent will move to through the Navigation Path After Completing the Survey setting. You can use the termination page provided by Dataspace or set it to move to a URL specified by the user.

The screen shown after completion not only informs that the survey has ended but can also be used in various ways, such as delivering a thank-you message or providing additional guidance.

Termination Page

The termination page is the last screen shown to the respondent after the survey response is finished. You can directly enter guidance text or images, or freely change the configuration of the termination page through custom settings.

step 1. Please enter the guidance content or message that respondents who have completed the survey must know.

step 2. Up to 3 termination pages can be set, and they can be added in the following ways:

  • You can add one by clicking the [+] button in the Termination page area of the survey configuration list on the left.

  • You can also add one by pressing the [+] button that appears when you hover over a termination page in the survey configuration list on the left.

  • You can add a new termination page through the [ + Additional Termination Page ] button at the bottom of the termination page.

Termination Page Custom Settings

📌 The termination page custom setting feature is available on Professional or Enterprise plans.

You can create a termination page that reflects brand characteristics by setting the brand logo and image, navigation button, and whether to display the Dataspace banner on the termination page.

  • Configure by entering the button name and the URL to be connected.

Move to Specified URL

📌 The Move to Specified URL feature is available on Professional or Enterprise plans.

By utilizing the Move to Specified URL feature, you can set the respondent to automatically move to a pre-set URL after completing the survey without any separate clicks or additional operations.

Since it connects directly to the page without going through a termination page, you can reduce respondent drop-off and naturally lead to the next step.

step 1. Select the termination page that will move to a specific URL upon survey termination, and click [Move to Specified URL] at the top of the termination page.

step 2. Enter the URL where the response completer will move in the Custom URL on the right.

Understanding 'Move to Specified URL' with an Example

Respondents can be divided into different termination pages according to screening conditions, and customer experience can be designed more elaborately by setting URLs appropriate for each group. Through this, you can provide guidance suitable for the respondent's situation and induce them to lead to natural follow-up actions.

  • Screening Pass Respondents: Respondents who have completed the survey normally can be automatically moved to a point payment guidance page in the case of in-house customer surveys, or connected to a thank-you message page in the case of panel self-surveys.

  • Screen out Respondents: Respondents who do not meet the target conditions can be set to move to the brand homepage.

  • Over quota Respondents: If the set quota is exceeded, a simple thank-you message page can be exposed.

Parameters to Insert in URL

Parameters can be automatically added to the custom URL set on the termination page. The values that can be used at this time are items registered in the Add Embedded data menu.

Different parameters can be set for each termination page, and it is also possible to put multiple parameters together in one termination page.

By adding parameters to the URL in this way, you can transfer the information of survey respondents to an external page. Use this to more conveniently automate various follow-up tasks such as respondent identification, reward payment, CRM integration, and marketing performance measurement.
