Survey Review automatically analyzes elements of the survey design that may affect response quality, objectively diagnoses the overall survey quality, and suggests improvements.
Based on an algorithm developed by OpenSurvey, the feature evaluates whether the current survey is designed appropriately to collect reliable data and checks its difficulty from the respondent’s perspective.
How to use Survey Review
Click the [Survey Review] button at the top right of the “Edit” tab.
You can view a summary and detailed results based on the automatic analysis.
Structure of the Survey Review Results
① Overall Survey Quality Review
Survey Quality: A single index that evaluates the overall quality of the survey, visualized as a gauge chart with three levels—Good, Fair, and Poor.
Basic Info: The number of questions and the estimated response time are provided to help verify the design's appropriateness.
Projected results after resolving all review items: When enabled, this shows the expected survey score and response time if all review items are addressed, helping you assess the impact of changes quantitatively and prioritize modifications accordingly.
② Review Items and Suggestions
Number of detected issues and improvement suggestions: Each issue is classified into one of four severity levels.
Critical: Items that could severely compromise response quality
Major: Items that require significant improvement
Minor: Items with relatively low impact
Suggestion: Optional improvements that don’t affect quality but are recommended
Checking and navigating to review items: Each flagged question is shown with its reason. Click the [V] button to view recommendations and use the arrow icon to jump directly to the item for editing.
Passed items: Questions that passed the review are shown separately, making it easy to track which ones are complete.
