Here's When Topic Editing Is Useful

1️⃣ When you want to break a topic down into more specific subtopics

For example, if the topic 'Wide product range' is ambiguous in meaning, you can review the response content and divide it into more specific topics like 'Wide product variety' or 'Wide brand selection.'

2️⃣ When you want to consolidate topics with similar meanings

For example, topics with similar meanings that were generated separately — like 'Excellent freshness' and 'Fresh products' — can be merged into one topic such as 'Fresh products.'

3️⃣ When you want to clean up topics with few responses or unclear meanings

For example, topics with only 1–2 responses or with ambiguous meanings can be moved to 'Other' or deleted to make the overall topic structure cleaner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What do the numbers next to topic names mean?

A. It is the total number of responses included in that topic. If the response count is too low or the analytical value is low, try merging them or handling them as 'Other' to improve analysis efficiency.

Q. When can the topic editing feature be used?

A. It is only activated when there are variables for which AI topic analysis has been completed. The feature is not available in survey projects that have no text variables to analyze.
